The artists of Doppleganger?

Friday
7-9 p.m. – Doppelganger: a USF PhotoClub Exhibition at USF Centre Gallery. Come dressed as a Doppelganger, get photographed in the PhotoShak (who knows what else will happen while you’re in there) and eat candy.
8 p.m.-12 a.m. – Halloween ART pARTy at ARTpool. Dress up as your favorite artist and win prizes; special award for best Andy Warhol.
Saturday
9 a.m. – Sketchcrawl with Tampa Realistic Artists (TRA). Meet at the Ybor Saturday Market, go sketch, then regroup for lunch and sharing work. For more information on Sketchcrawls in general, click here; for more about the Tampa version, click on the TRA link.
10:30 a.m. – Lakeland’s Polk Museum of Art offers a variety of family-oriented Day of the Dead activities throughout the day.
11 a.m. – Folk artist Ruby C. Williams’ Walk-in Gallery’s 12th Anniversary. Head to Ruby’s fruit and veggie stand in Bealsville (2001 Hwy 60 E, Plant City) for this fun annual celebration and sale of artwork.
12-6 p.m. – Ybor ARTWalk, 17 participating galleries and studios open their doors for extended hours the first Saturday of each month.
5 p.m. – Connext Project, an outdoor video lounge featuring original animation, motion graphics and experimental films by local and nationally known artists and design studios. Artsqueeze pick.
7-9 p.m. – Opening reception for Color Woodblock Prints at Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art.
8-11 p.m. – Dia de los Muertos party with the Salvador Dali Museum’s Zodiac Group and the Museum of Fine Arts’ Contemporaries (young professiona/emerging collectors groups). Come in your scariest ‘80s attire (open to interpretation) or as a dead celebrity; check out the current Ansel Adams exhibit with admission.
