MacArthur Fellows include South Carolina basket maker

The MacArthur Foundation has given its annual “genius” grants, worth half a million dollars each, to 25 lucky recipients. One is Mary Jackson, a South Carolina basket weaver, who is included in the permanent collection of Florida Craftsmen and is a past participant in CraftArt, which takes place on Nov. 22 & 23 at Central Avenue and Fifth Street in downtown St. Petersburg.
