Most of you probably know the artists’ studios housed above Florida Craftsmen in downtown St. Petersburg as Artspace. I’m told by staff at FC, which owns the building, that a slight reorganization has taken place. The studios will be known as ArtLofts going forward, and the artists– almost all of whom remain from Artspace– will be renting from FC directly, rather than from the previous manager. To kick off the new relationship, Florida Craftsmen has given their members’ gallery over to the ArtLofts artists through Oct. 17. (Their numbers include C. Wade Brickhouse, Betsy Lester, Rebecca Skelton and other cool folks.)

An opening reception for both the ArtLofts show and Architectural Details and other Decorative Crafts takes place Fri., Sept. 19, 6-8 p.m.
