Professional Development Grant Applications for Pinellas Artists

Applications for Cycle 2 of the Professional Development Grants for Individual Artists from the Pinellas County Cultural Affairs Department are currently available. The grant application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 21, for projects beginning May 1, with an ending date of Sept. 30. The grant is designed to fund projects up to $1,000 for artists residing in Pinellas County through a competitive process as an opportunity to assist and advance an artist’s professional career.

Pinellas County Cultural Affairs Department Announces Grant Opportunity and Grants Writing Workshop for Organizations
The Pinellas County Cultural Affairs Department is pleased to announce the availability of Cultural Development Grants for non-profit, 501(c)3 arts and cultural organizations for the 2008 – 2009 fiscal year for projects which support the goals and objectives of the Community Cultural Plan.
Qualified organizations may apply for funding in three levels: Level I organizations are those with operating revenue for the most recent fiscal year of less than $100,000; Level II organizations are those with operating revenue of more than $100,000. Level III organizations are those meeting the discipline standards for Level III set by the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs. Guidelines, eligibility requirements and interactive forms can be found on the Cultural Affairs website at www.pinellasarts.org.
A grants writing workshop for organizations new to the Cultural Development Grants program, or for those who wish a refresher on the process, will be held on March 11 in Room 1-455 at the EpiCenter, 13805 58th St. N., Largo, 33760 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. (A locator map is on the Cultural Affairs website: www.pinellasarts.org).
