I have never seen so much crap in one place at any one time. Typical Tampa artist wannabes. Amateur efforts at best. This is an indication of the very sad state of affairs the Tampa art scene finds itself in.

Many would disagree with that opinion about most/all the names that were involved in this exhibit.

I thought this was a good and thought provoking show. I tried to purchase a Sean Hoffman painting and it was already sold to a neighboring Franklin St. business owner. I tried to purchase 1 of 2 sculptures by Carlos Camargo and both were sold.
What is “crap” to you, was obviously beautiful to someone else and meaningful enough to purchase. Pretty good for “amatuers” and “wannabes”. What ever they are doing, they should continue… I know plenty of people that would go.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Mr. Tischbaum. As such a well versed critic, then you should know that all art is subjective and should be appreciated at the least for that.
Your ugliness and lack of appreciation is the underlying root of “the very sad state of affairs the Tampa art scene finds itself in”
You should have done your homework . Many of these artists have a great history.
Perhaps you should purchase your art at Robb & Stucky. It’s air conditioned and I hear the art is pre-packed and ready to hang. Nails included.
